HDR IN THIS WAY
When complicated is the easy way out
Clever use of stop-motion and backplates to give life to a vintage AT-AT. Sometimes there is no easy way out to achieve the desired result. But the outcome is nothing else than impressive.
The world in a frame

RED Scarlet Test Footage
A hungry lion is the star in this short test footage from a RED Scarlet. Looking sharp, and I don’t mean the lions teeth.
Scarlet is alive
The much awaited Scarlet from RED is alive and kicking. Stumbled upon this video on Vimeo showing a working version of the fixed lens camera.

Going Anamorphic - What is the difference?
Some before and after shots using the Kowa and Isco 2x Anamorphic adapters on a Canon 5D Mark II. The Hollywoodification is instant in some shots and not so obvious in others. The oval bokeh is what is the big characteristic.

Motion Graphics like this tastes good. By Ucture Abstructurate.
Convergence in XDCAM-EX
Short film by Martin Scanlan shot on the Sony PMW-F3. Interesting how good 4:2:0 in 8-bit looks. You can even see some improvements in the final graded HDCAM-SR version here http://vimeo.com/16898584. Apparently the white balance didn’t work properly on the test camera so presets was used instead.
Philip Bloom invited by Panasonic
The result from one day with the Panasonic AF100/101. The camera is still in beta but the outcome looks very promising.
No Face
Pretty scary short from Kuskus where people only show their backs. You get kind of freaked out after a while.
Give me light - Give me ipad
Actually more affordable than FloLight.

Beautiful WW2 short movie by Marlon Torres. Shot on Canon 7D and 5DMKII.
Making of Nuit Blanche
The process in making this fantastic and award winning short reminds me a lot of The Coke Zero Game. The only difference is that this is much better. A lot better in fact. But the layer by layer process in combination with green screen is still the same.
VK - Framtiden
Some nifty match moving and particle wonders combined with clever two-dimensional layer effects creates this commercial for Västerbottens Kuriren. Produced by Lampray and post production by DRMFLD.
